First of all we will discuss about conducted Body. Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.Staff Selection Commission was set up on 4th November, 1975. Its headquarter is located in New Delhi. The main responsibility of the Staff Selection Commission is to make recruitment to Group C (non-technical) & Group B posts in departments of Government of India.The Staff Selection Commission is also assigned the task of conducting Departmental Examinations.

Who Can Apply For SSC CGL 2017
The candidates who are interested to apply for SSC CGL 2017, they should full fill the following condition which are mentioned below:
Nationality: The candidate must be citizen of India and or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1972, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit: Age limit varies for various posts as well. Aspirants must be between 18 years to 27 years in age. Age relaxation for the reserved categories will be applicable as per government rules.
Education Qualification: You must have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.However for some specific posts there is need of additional Qualification.
The notification of SSC CGL Exam will be published in Employment news paper, through the official website in the month of March / April. Staff Selection Commission also provide a exam calendar which gives detail about examination to be conducted by SSC throughout the year.When official notification will be out we will update on our portal, so keep in touch.
SSC CGL 2017 Selection Process and Exam Pattern :
If you are preparing for any competitive exam, then it is necessary to have a proper knowledge of exam pattern and selection process. SSC CGL Exam consist of three phases which are mentioned below:
- Tier I – Preliminary Examination
- Tier II- Mains Examination
- Tier III- Descriptive Examination.
The scheme of Tier 1 – Preliminary Examination examination is detailed below:

Note: There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Tier-I.
Tier II- Mains Examination : The candidates who will be declared qualify in the Tier I only those will be able to appear in main Examination i.e. Tier II.
The scheme of Tier 2- Mains Examination examination is detailed below:

Tier III: In addition to above, the Commission has also decided to introduce a Descriptive Paper of English/Hindi as Tier-III. The Question Paper will be bilingual. The candidates will have the option to choose any one medium.

The final merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.
How to Apply for SSC CGL 2017 :
The candidates who are interested to apply for SSC Common Graduate Leve Exam 2017, will be able to submit their application form for the same through online mode when official notification for the invitation of application form will be out.Here we are providing some guideline to regarding submission of application form through online mode.
- First of all visit to the official website at: ssconline.nic.in
- Choose your Notification & Click on the link “apply”
- Register yourself or if you are already registered then login.
- After that fill appropriate information in application form which are asked.
- Upload Scan Photograph and Signature.
- Submit your application form and take a print out of your application form for future reference.
Application Fees: An amount of Rs. 100/- (One Hundred) for General/ OBC Category. However, the fee payment is exempted for the Women applicants and candidates belonging to ST, SC Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen.
